Banaras Hindu University, also known as BHU is one of the most reputed universities that has been recognized globally was established by Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya in the year 1916 at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The law school at BHU, popularly known as Faculty of Law, BHU is among the leading law schools in the country, situated on the banks of the river Ganges in Varanasi. The law faculty at BHU is one of the leading faculties of BHU.
The institute is referred to be the pioneer institution of legal education in India with an excellent team of teachers and students. It is one of the earliest faculties that has been established in the Banaras Hindu University and Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya served as the dean of the law school for several years.
The faculty offers Under Graduate and Post Graduate Law courses and emphasizes on developing a holistic approach towards understanding law and justice from a multi-disciplinary perspective.
For admissions in Under Graduate law courses, the university conducts Under Graduate Entrance Tests (UETs) in the month of April/ May. Admission is provided according to the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination.
It is one of the oldest and most reputed law schools across the country.
BHU Law Faculty also publishes a highly acclaimed journal since 1965 which carries the research papers from eminent Indian and foreign scholars.
A Moot Court Society was established within the campus to promote the skills of advocacy and love for the legal profession among the students.
The faculty conducts intra-law school moot court competitions which have participants from across the country.
The faculty has introduced community-oriented courses of a law introducing Law of Environment, Law, and Country and Town Planning, Law and Poverty, Law and Population, Animal Laws etc.

BHU has a great repo in the nation due to its quality education and that is why taking admission here is not that much simple one needs a minimum 80% marks in the entrance exam especially for this course and right now I am in the 2nd year of the course.

The education is best as everyone knows that BHU is best and also A grade and for the Internships students goes n number of courts, lawyers and there is a very big campus here.
The fee of the course is very nominal here and that is 6000 rs.

Admission Criteria: There is an entrance examination in the college and it is 300 marks paper and for general 240 marks are required.
On the DULLB Entrance examination I have taken admission here and 55% minimum marks are required and the education is best here and the classes were also regular and the education is also best and the faculties in the college are Doctorates.

For admission in LL.B. courses, BHU conducts two university-level entrance examinations i.e. UET in the month of April and May every year.
Admissions are provided according to the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination.
The candidate seeking admission in LL.B. (Hons.) must have completed B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com/ Shastry with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate.
The candidate who has completed any graduate degree in 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India can also apply for admission in BHU Law Faculty.
For admission in B.A. LL.B., the university conducts entrance examination i.e. UET in the third or fourth week of May.
For B.A. LL.B., the candidate must have passed class XII with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate from a recognized board. A relaxation of 5 percent is provided to the candidates of the reserved category.
Admission in Post Graduate Courses:
Candidates seeking admission in LL.M. must have passed graduation in the relevant subject from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Admissions in Ph.D.:
The candidate must have completed Postgraduation in the relevant field.
The candidate must qualify the Common Research Entrance Test (CRET) conducted by the university in the month of March or July.
The candidate who has qualified UGC NET/ JRF are exempted from the entrance examination.
