Latest Updates: Admissions for the ME/MTech program at Coimbatore Institute of Technology for the year 2023 are now open through the Common Engineering Admission Procedure (CEAP) under the GATE Category. The deadline to apply for CEAP 2023 is May 31, 2023. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online on the official website ceap.annauniv.edu.
Furthermore, Coimbatore Institute of Technology course admissions for the BE/BTech programs for the year 2023 are done through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). The last date to apply for TNEA 2023 is June 4, 2023. Interested candidates can apply on the official website tneaonline.org. Additionally, the scorecard for TANCET/CEETA PG 2023 has been released on April 22. Candidates can download their scorecards until May 20, 2023.

Established in 1956, Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) was founded by the V. Rangaswamy Naidu Educational Trust (VRET) to promote professional learning and industrial training expertise. Originally affiliated with Madras University until 1980, it became autonomous in 1987 and later affiliated with Bharathiar University. Since 2001, CIT has been affiliated with Anna University.
CIT Coimbatore is a government-aided, autonomous engineering college with 13 different departments including Physics, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and more. The institute offers seven undergraduate programs, nine postgraduate programs, three five-year integrated M.Sc. programs, as well as Ph.D. research programs. Additionally, CIT Coimbatore is home to CIT Sandwich Polytechnic College, established in 1961, which offers eight engineering diplomas in various disciplines.

CIT Coimbatore Admission
CIT Coimbatore admission are determined through a combination of marks obtained in the respective Entrance Exams and the 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examinations. The selection process also includes a counseling session. Accepted entrance tests include JEE Mains, TNEA, CIT-CET, TANCET, GATE, and CIT-MSc, depending on the course being applied for.
CIT Coimbatore Admission Procedure
To apply, candidates need to download the application form from the website and complete it. Prior to filling out the form, students must register on the official TNEA website. Once the results of the relevant entrance exams are announced, students will receive a rank list, which will be used for the counselling process. Students can register for counselling on the TNEA website mentioned earlier. The allocation of seats for BE/BTech and ME/MTech/MCA programs is done through counselling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, and Anna University, respectively. For MSc Integrated courses, candidates are selected based on the CIT-MSc Entrance Exam conducted by the Institute, followed by a personal interview for shortlisted candidates. A fee of INR 1000 is required for MSc applicants. During the application, counselling, and interview processes, candidates must have the necessary documents readily available.

Placement: The Placmenet of the college is also good the average package once recieved in our batch was 3lpa.
Faculty: Ar first i find them very strict but they all are very experienced and very helpful too.
College: I find the teachers of this college very supportive, the infrastructure of the college is very good. The college management is strict and so are the teachers but they are doing there jobs i guess. The education quality is very good here.
