Chandra Bhanu Gupta Krishi Mahavidyalaya is an agricultural college named after the former CM of Uttar Pradesh Late Shri Chandra Bhanu Gupta. It was established to honour his dream of setting up an agricultural college in Uttar Pradesh State. Hence, the college came into being in 1995 with undergraduate and postgraduate programs such as B. Sc and M. Sc in agriculture, horticulture, agronomy. The college is affiliated to Lucknow University and has been accredited with “B” grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). University Grant Commission approves Chandra Bhanu Gupta Krishi Mahavidyalaya.
Admission in Chandra Bhanu Gupta Krishi Mahavidyalaya is taken through an entrance exam which is conducted by the college itself. Candidates wishing to take admission in any of the courses offered by the college need to secure rank in the entrance exam.
