Asansol Engineering College also known as AEC is a self-financing college which was established in the year 1998 by the Academy of Engineers as a joint undertaking between the JIS Group and the Techno India Group. The college is established at Asansol, Burdwan in West Bengal and is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. ACE is also recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) under section 2 of the UGC Act of 1956 and is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Requirements: The candidate aspiring to seek admission in the Post Graduate Engineering Courses offered by AEC must have passed B. Tech. or M. SC. From a relevant disciple. PGET is an entrance examination conducted by the West Bengal University of Technology.
Requirements for BBA & BCA courses offered by ACE:
