UPSEE, a state level examination that is meant for the people residing permanently in Uttar Pradesh, provides admission into undergraduate courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharma and Post Graduate course such as MBA and MBA offered across by various institutions. The UPTU recently was renamed Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University and the exam has also started being known as AKTU/UPSEE since then.
The UPSEE examination is usually conducted during the months of April-May and the counseling procedure for the same shall begin after the examination is done and the UPSEE Result is declared.
The UPSEE Eligibility has been explained in brief as below:

Candidates should have taken up Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2 or equivalent with any other subject such as Chemistry/Biology/Technical Subject.

The ones opting for admissions to the Biotechnology course should have studied Physics/Maths/Biology as mandatory subjects with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subjects being optional.

The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized Board or University as such. If the candidate is an aspirant, then they must have secured a minimum of 45% (40% in SC/ST) without grace in 10+2 or equivalent.

If the candidate is appearing for 10+2 equivalent in 2017, he/she can also apply for UPSEE 2018.

UPSEE Application Form would be open for filling and making corrections in the month of March 2018. There would also be dates provided to candidates for making any changes or corrections in the UPSEE Application Form in the same month. The UPSEE Application Form would be available for filling in the online mode only.

The candidates can determine their UPSEE Preparation keeping the following things in mind:

All the questions would be of an objective type or Multiple Choice Based.

Every Section would be having an equal weight of 50 questions making it a total count of 150.

Every question would be carrying 4 marks.

There would be no negative marking for an answer.
