MAT RESULT 2017:
MAT 2017 result for the exam held in May has already been announced. The results were available in the form of a scorecard. The scorecard mentioned both, the sectional and overall scores along with the percentile. Unlike other exams, a hard copy of the test scores was also sent to the test takers by post. The results of the MAT exam that is to be conducted in the month of September will be announced in the same way as before.
INTERPRETING THE MAT SCORE:
The MAT exam provides information about the candidate's capability to cope up with a strenuous postgraduate exam. The specialty of MAT exam is that, it is standardized unlike the scores in graduation which vary depending upon the college's marking patterns. Since there are different exam sets, some questions may vary in difficulty. To make it a level playing field, the scores are scaled. Thus equal scaled scores represent equal capabilities of the student irrespective of where or when the test was taken. Each score report contains six score reports, one from each of the five sections and one composite score. The composite score is announced on a scale between 199 and 801.
