The IIFT Result official release date has still not been given, a lot of reports have indicated that the results shall be declared in this month tentatively by 26th December in the year 2017. While an official update from the IIFT authorities is awaited, the IIFT Result in the previous year was declared on December 23, 2017.
How can I check the IIFT Result?
The procedure to check IIFT Result has been detailed below:

The candidate can click on the relevant link.

Once all the details are submitted, the candidates can click on submit.

Results shall be displayed, after which a candidate can take a printout and save the same for future reference.
IIFT Result would include the following details

Name, Roll Number and Date of Birth

Total Marks and Section-wise distribution

Overall and section-wise marks distribution

Sectional and overall cutoff
Once the candidate achieves the desired IIFT cutoff, he undergoes the IIFT Selection Procedure. The IIFT Selection Procedure consists of the following steps:

Based on the marks that the candidates obtained in written test, the candidates would be called for an interview that would be held between the months of January and February.
What should I know about the IIFT Scorecard?
IIFT Result shall be announced in the form of IIFT Scorecard. IIFT Scorecard would contain details of a candidate, maximum marks, cutoff, sectional and overall marks. Candidates would be required to download a soft copy of the IIFT Scorecard as no hard copy shall be forwarded to them.
IIFT Merit List
IIFT Merit List shall be announced after completion of the stages of IIFT Selection Procedure such as Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates, whose name appears in the final merit list would be offered admission to the campuses located in Delhi and Kolkata. Separate Merit List shall be published for both the campuses.
The candidates are admitted under various categories such as General, OBC, SC/ST and PH. The campuses of IIFT offer about 450 seats for over 40,000 students. The marks scored by the candidates in the IIFT and those scored in the selection round to get selected for the final merit list.
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade admits students as per the cutoff that they score. Candidates who belong to the reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST and PH would be selected. The IIFT Entrance examination would be held in an offline mode all over 20 exam centers in India. The question booklet would be consisting of 124 questions in the Multiple-Choice Question format. Candidates would be given a total of 2-hour duration to complete the examination.
Once the examination is done, the candidate would be finding it necessary to participate in the pre-admission rounds such as Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Writing Skill Assessment. The IIFT Result would be based on the performance of the candidates in all of these rounds.

The IIFT Section-wise analysis as provided by TIME is as follows:
Logical Reasoning

The questions on Input-Output were a little time consuming that required a great amount of concentration.

The questions based on distribution though not very difficult but were pretty time-consuming.

The games and tournament questions appearing tough at a glance were easy to attempt though.

The question on logical deduction was straightforward for anyone who is good with the basic concepts.

The Data Sufficiency questions were based on coding-decoding and arrangement that seemed a little on the easier side.
Data Interpretation

The Data Interpretation was a tough section to do with a lot of graphs and data.
-
A total of three sets of five questions each, one set of three questions and one with two.

All the sets were mostly based on Tables and/or Line graph. Almost all the questions were calculation based and quite lengthy for the candidates to attempt.
Quantitative Aptitude
-
The difficulty level of this section has been comparatively higher in comparison to the previous year.

The questions were mostly lengthy, though on a note, mostly moderate to tough.

There were questions that were easy – one from sequence and series, coordinate geometry and another from functions. The other questions were either moderate or tough to handle. A good candidate would have been able to attempt 10-12 questions with a cutoff of 3-4 marks.
Verbal Ability

This section had questions mostly on English Grammar, Punctuation, Prefix and Suffix.

There were questions that were based on analogies, the creation of a word out of jumbled letters, identification of meaning and replacement of a sentence.

The questions on analogies had rare words and needed a lot of detailed thought.

There were questions on the adverb, noun phrases and adjectives.

The section was on a tougher note and the cut-off is expected to be around 2-3 marks.
Reading Comprehension

The passages were mostly lengthy but readable by candidates.

A person with good reading skills should not face much of a problem in reading through lengthy passages.

There were 4 passages with 4 questions per passage.

The passages were from Business, Entrepreneurship, Literature, Business Management and Financial Crisis.

The cutoff for this section is for 3-4 marks.
General Awareness

General Awareness was one of the topics that were tough from Sports, Corporate Logos and Entities, Stock Exchanges and Currencies.

The questions were lengthy in terms of words and tough for students to read through.

Owing to the difficulty level, the section cutoff has been set off pretty low.
