WBSCVT ITI 2023 Overview 

The West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training (WBSCVT) is a statutory agency within the West Bengal state government in charge of administering and evaluating vocational programs in the state. It holds an annual state-level admission procedure for the West Bengal Industrial Training Institute (ITI). The admission system will be controlled in order to shortlist candidates for admission to various ITI programs provided by the government and private ITI institutions throughout West Bengal.

WBSCVT Course 2023 Eligibility Criteria 

  1. Age Restrictions
    • Applicants must be 14 years old as of August 1, 2023.
    • There is no maximum age.
  2. WBSCVT Qualification in Education: The test will be administered in the format specified by the group. We provide information about education qualification eligibility here. There are two types of trade courses. E-Group and M-Group:-
    • Candidates for E-Group must have passed the class 8 test from a recognized board.
    • Candidates for the M-Group must pass a 10-level test from a recognized board.
    • The socially backward, economically disadvantaged, best academic record-holders, and West Bengal residents shall be given first consideration for admission.
  3. Nationality: Candidates must be Indian nationals to be considered for admission.
  4. Domicile: Candidates must be West Bengal state domicile certificate holders.

Candidates who did not pass the 10th level or equivalent tests with Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects would be denied admission to the Engineering Group of Trades. Applicants may not apply for opportunities in both categories. ITI Graduates of any government ITI, ITC, JP, or PPP government ITI are not eligible for admission for three years in the same ITI and one year in other ITIs. (With the exception of the year of graduation.) Trainees who were previously accepted but dropped out/discharged from any govt. 

WBSCVT ITI 2023 Admission Process

The whole step-by-step procedure for filling out the West Bengal ITI Online Application Form 2023 is as follows-

  1. Visit the West Bengal ITI 2023 webpage.
  2. Now, click on the link for new candidates' registration and complete the West Bengal ITI Registration Form with all the essential information.
  3. Fill out the Application Form with all of the essential information, such as your basic personal information, email address, phone number, and so on, and submit it.
  4. After entering all of the essential information in the registration form, log in again for the final submission.
  5. Fill in the remaining information, such as personal, communication, address, and academic information.
  6. Candidates will be asked to upload their photographs, signatures, category certificates, and other documents after providing all essential information.

WBSCVT ITI Fees

The application cost is only available online. Candidates can pay the WBSCVT course fees with a credit card, debit card, net banking, e-wallet, or UPI payment method. Fees for WBSCVT course forms are Rs.200/-for Kanyashree applicants and Rs.100/-for OMR candidates. WBSCVT Fee for OMR Application Form (for Kanyashree female candidates): Rs.125/-.

WBSCVT ITI 2023 Exam Pattern

Those candidates who have applied for the WBSCVT ITI exam must select the exam pattern for better exam preparation. Details about the exam pattern are provided below-

  1. Candidates must comprehend the exam scheme in order to score higher.
  2. The questions will be of the MCQ variety.
  3. Both groups will have their own paper.
  4. Students must prepare themselves based on their desired course.
  5. Questions will generally be centered on general knowledge, mathematics, English, and reasoning.
  6. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

WBSCVT 2023 Exam Result 

The WBSCVT exam results will be made accessible to each exam participant separately. The authorities will reveal the results a few days after the test is completed. WBSCVT candidates will be able to view the results online at the authority's website. The outcome will be determined by the candidate's performance in the admission exams. The authorities will compile a state-level merit list comprising the names of shortlisted candidates for the counseling procedure based on the results.

WBSCVT ITI 2023 Exam Counselling

The authorities of the West Bengal Institute of Technology will undertake counseling within a few days following the announcement of the results and merit list. Only candidates who have been shortlisted through the merit list will be able to participate in this process. WBSCVT candidates will be able to register for this process online beginning in the third week of August 2023. This WBSCVT counseling process will be divided into many parts, including choice filling and seat allocation. Only candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of counseling. Candidates must additionally bring the following documents to the verification phase of counseling:

  1. Certificate for the eighth-grade sheet
  2. Category certificate with tenth-grade mark sheet
  3. Certificate of Category (if required)
  4. Certificate of Caste (if required)
  5. Certificate of Vocation (if any)
  6. Certificate of Migration
  7. The tenth admission card (as age proof)
  8. Kanyashree obtained a certificate.
  9. Letter of allocation of seats
  10. The Aadhar card
  11. Several passport-sized photographs
