Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) Admission 2022

Tamil Nadu Open University was also the first open university in Tamil Nadu. The goal of the institution is to help those who cannot afford higher education. The University's courses are approved by the National Council for Teacher Education [NCTE], RCI, and DEB in addition to the University Grants Commission [UGC].

The university was established by an act of 2002 and is located in Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, at 577 Anna Salai. Thanks to a variety of facilities, this school is able to provide a wide range of academic programs. For students to choose from, there are undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programs. There are non-semester courses offered in addition to semester courses. 

The 3-year undergrad programs in B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, and BCA are offered by the Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU). The college also offers MBA, MCA, M.A., M.Com, and M.Sc. 2-year Master's degree programs, as well as Diploma and Post-Graduation Diploma courses in a variety of specializations.

  • Candidates for the B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BCA, and B.B.A. programs must have achieved a 10+2 passing grade from an accredited board.

  • Prior to the start of the semester exams, the BPP Exams will be held.
  • The Tami Nadu Open University offers printed and electronic self-learning resources.
  • The University offers counseling services throughout the State at various sites. Counseling sessions take place from March through May and from September through November, respectively.

Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) UG Admissions 2022: BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA and B.Sc.

The Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) offers admission to three-year full-time undergraduate B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BCA, and BBA programmes. Based on the achievement of fundamental eligibility, lateral admission to a two-year BCA is also provided. The requirement for applying to undergraduate programs is having completed your 10+2 in the appropriate disciplines. To be eligible for admission, candidates seeking lateral entry into the BCA program must possess any diploma from a recognized polytechnic college.

Candidates who are not eligible must participate in the university-conducted TNOU BPP for six months in order to be admitted to the UG programs. You can acquire application forms from university-approved study facilities.

TNOU Enrollment Number and Issue of ID Cards 

After carefully reviewing the online application, the admissions section will assign an enrollment number and send the students their ID cards. The enrollment number must be used by the students in all subsequent correspondence with the university. When an applicant does not select one of the Learner Support Centers specified in the application, the Admission Section will attach the applicant to the Learner Support Center that is closest to the applicant's provided address for correspondence. The school will deliver the student's ID card to their address.

TNOU Result

Candidates can use the results to assess their performance for the end-of-term exam. Only online is available for candidates to check their TNOU Results.   • Select "Result" from the drop-down menu in the website's footer.

TNOU Revaluation Result

After the revaluation examination, candidates declare their results, which is known as the revaluation result. Candidates can apply for a reevaluation exam if they failed an exam or weren't happy with their results. The university administers a revaluation paper following the conclusion of the regular examination.

Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU): Application Process 2022

The application forms and prospectuses for the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Postgraduate Diploma programs offered by the Tamil Nadu Open University [TNOU] must be picked up in person at the designated study centers. The qualifying exam must be passed, followed by counseling, before the candidates are finally chosen.

  • On payment of the required fee of Rs. 100 in cash, the application forms may be obtained from the study centers.
  • The Deputy Registrar, MPDD, TNOU, 577, Anna Salai, Saidapet, Chennai, 600 015, also accepts postal orders for application forms in exchange for a demand draft for Rs. 150 made out to the Tamil Nadu Open University and payable in Chennai.
  • The study centers must receive admission forms by the deadlines of April 30 or October 31 of each academic year.
  • Following the submission of the application form, the study center will send the applicant a letter of acknowledgement and the forms to the zonal centers.
  • After carefully reviewing the application forms, the Admission Wing will assign an enrollment number and send ID cards to the study centers so that the students can pick them up.
  • Then, in all subsequent communications with the University, the students may refer to their enrollment number.
  • Application forms must be submitted separately by applicants who wish to enroll in a diploma or certificate program under the dual registration policy.
  • Any one of the Group A and Group B Officers should attest to separate copies of the eligibility and other certificates, the applicant's photograph, and their signature.
  • The University must receive payment for all programs in full. Fees may be sent to any State Bank of India or Indian Bank branch.
  • The applicant may submit the fees using a photocopy of the remittance Challan Form that is included in the prospectus. The banker will give back the student and TNOU copies of the challan.
  • The applicant will need to submit their application for admission along with the TNOU copy of the remitted challan. Regarding the submission of fees, they can also speak with their study centers.
  • The application forms can be submitted by applicants along with a copy of the challan from the university.
  • The counseling will take place on the scheduled dates, and chosen candidates will need to have their documentation verified.

Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU) Scholarships

The university offers accommodations in the form of waivers of tuition to candidates who fall under the protected categories and who are disabled. The facilities that are available to students include the following:

Students from SC/ST who are enrolled in distance learning are eligible for fee reimbursement if they are unemployed and their parents' combined annual income does not exceed INR 1,00,000.

Students should submit their scholarship applications in the required format, which can be obtained from the Adi Dravidar/Tribal Welfare Department, along with any necessary supporting documentation.
