The Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research known as JIPMER conducts an annual medical entrance examination called ‘JIPMER MBBS' for the admission to MBBS degree courses offered by JIPMER Puducherry and JIPMER Karaikal. According to the NIRF Ranking 2018, JIPMER has been ranked as the #6th Best Medical Institute of India. The institute is also recognized by the Medical Council of India as the ‘center of excellence'.

JIPMER Entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 3, 2018, for the candidates who aspire to seek admission to the MBBS courses offered by the JIPMER campuses. JIPMER doesn't prescribe any specific syllabus for the entrance examination. Rather the entrance test is based on Class 11 and Class 12 Syllabus.

JIPMER entrance examination is considered to be easier than NEET and AIIMS entrance examination. If you are one among Lakhs of the candidate appearing for JIPMER 2018, then read the below-mentioned important suggestions which will surely help you on the examination day.

JIPMER 2018 Important Tips:

  • Revise:

    Merely four days are left for the examination. It's time to start your revision. Don't start an entirely new topic or chapter at this point of time. Rather than spending time on new topics revise all the topics you have covered until now. While revising you can surely make small pointers on separate sheets which will help while final revision on the examination day.
  • Mock Test:

    Take Mock Test regularly and analyze your performance in them. Work on the areas where you are facing the problem and make sure that you don't repeat the same problem again. Mock Test will also provide you an idea about the main examination and how much time you take to answer each question.
  • Previous Year Question Papers:

    Check out theJIPMER Question papers for Last 10 years and try to solve them. It will provide you an idea about the actual question paper including the weightage of each topic and the examination pattern.
  • Trust your preparation:

    Don't overburden yourself. By now you would have surely followed some preparation strategy. Stick to the strategy you had been following for months or years of preparation. Don't get confused if your friends or mates are studying something else or following some other preparation plan. This is not the right time to switch the plan you had been following.
  • Self-Study:

    Study for a minimum of 9-10 hours daily. You can always take short breaks of 10-15 minutes after every 2 hours of rigorous studies. You can talk to your friends and family for some time, this will freshen up your mind and you can again concentrate on your studies.
  • Remember your NEET Days:

    Are you one of those JIPMER aspirants who appear for NEET examination also. If yes, then do remember your May 6 preparation for NEET. You can go through the notes you made while preparing for NEET 2018.
  • Stay Calm:

    Don't stress yourself by overthinking. It may affect your performance on the D-day. You may do yoga or meditation to remove stress and stay focused towards your exam.

  • Reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the allotted time.
  • Do remember to carry your JIPMER 2018 Admit card.
  • Do remember to carry your Identity card verified by the Government of India such as Aadhar card, 10th Board Certificate etc.
