The NTA (National Testing Agency) administers the Joint Entrance Test (JEE), an all-India common engineering entrance examination for admission to various engineering institutes across the country. It is also recognized as one of the most difficult engineering admission examinations in the world. JEE is split into two sections: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is used to get into Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). JEE Main, on the other hand, is utilized to earn admission to Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT) and National Institutes of Technology (NIT). Only candidates who pass JEE Main are eligible to take JEE Advanced.

The JEE Main exam is an objective test (MCQs with four options). Choosing the correct option(s) is important here because it has a negative marking. Negative marking is used to prevent guessing.
