The National Coordinating Board, Department of Education, and Ministry of Human Resources Development entrust the GATE exam's administration to the GATE Committee, faculty from IISc, and representatives from seven other IITs. The GATE exam's objective is to assess students' knowledge of fundamental disciplines like engineering and science. IISc Bangalore will conduct GATE 2024. The GATE 2024 exam dates will be held over two weeks. Some of the papers, including GATE CSE, ME, and CE, will take place over the course of two sessions, while the others will only require one. One to two weeks prior to the exam, the complete GATE 2024 exam schedule will be made public.
The last date to register for GATE 2024 is September 29, 2023. GATE Exam Fees for SC/ST/Pwd Candidates is INR 900 as the revised application fee, while GATE Application Fees for General candidates is INR 1800. The window for GATE 2024 Application Form is currently open and the last date to fill GATE Application Form is 29 September 2023 without late fee, and with late fees, the last date to apply for GATE 2024 is 13 October 2023.

The GATE admit card will be made available online at the official website by IIT Kanpur on January 3. The authorities will issue GATE admit cards to applicants who successfully register for the GATE exam 2024 before the deadline. The GATE 2024 qualifying cutoff for each paper will be made public by the organisation in charge of the exam. The minimum score needed to pass the exam is the GATE cutoff score for 2024. There will be different cut offs for every 29 subjects.
For GATE 2024, there won't be any common counseling. Each applicant must submit a separate application for admission to the desired institutions. However, the Common Offer Acceptance Portal will be used for GATE 2024 counselling and IIT admissions (COAP). Similar to this, Centralized Counselling for M.Tech. (CCMT) is held for admissions into NITs, IIEST Shibpur, IIITs, and GFTIs. For counseling reasons, GATE COAP and CCMT portals must be used.
